McDonald's customers are furious to learn that its Birthday Cake McFlurry will NOT be hitting US menus anytime soon.
Loyal customers were quick to slam McDonald's for celebrating the dessert's 30th anniversary outside the US.
Instead, the chain is marking the occasion in Canada.
'I knew the second I saw this it wasn't in America,' an Instagram user wrote on a post created by Snackolator.
'@mcdonalds this is ridiculous. You weren't born in Canada, the USA should get this,' another person responded.
In fact, the McFlurry was actually invented by Canadian franchisee Ron McLellan in 1995.
The new McFlurry combines vanilla ice cream mixed with cake-flavored cookie dough pieces and cake-flavored syrup.
The flavor is only available for a limited time, and it joins a variety of other new items added to Canadian McDonald's menus.

Multiple fans, including Snackolator, mentioned these new menu additions.
'Canada lately has gotten an Apple shake for Minecraft and Cadbury Egg McFlurry just in the last month... just throwing that out there,' the food blogger wrote.
'I like the subtle shade to McDonald's for showing obvious favoritism to other countries lol,' an Instagrammer replied to the comment.
Like the Birthday Cake McFlurry, the chain's Creme-Egg McFlurry and Apple Shake are not available in the US.
Canada also offers Skor and Smarties McFlurries at all McDonald's restaurants.
The only McFlurries currently available in the US are Oreo and M&M's, which are two of the desert's original flavors.
As of now, there are no discussions of whether McDonald's in the US will begin offering the Birthday Cake-flavored dessert.
Instagram users from the US have jokingly accepted they will likely need to 'travel to Canada' in order to buy the treat.

McDonald's has been busy working on bouncing back from slumping sales, which includes a 3.6 percent drop in this year's first quarter.
The restaurant chain is working to earn its customers back by extending popular deals, including its $5 Meal Deal.
McDonald's is also a couple of weeks into its nationwide McCrispy Strips rollout.
While the McFlurry has grown to become a talked-about desert at the fast food empire, it hasn't diminished the anticipation over the return of snack wraps.
Dubbed the "McCrispy Snack Wrap," the popular item was rumored to arrive at restaurants on April 29.
This has proven not to be the case, and as of now, the snack wraps have yet to become available in the US.
Loyal McDonald's customers who are too excited to wait can purchase a McWrap or regular Snack Wrap at any location in Canada.
