Cate Blanchett ensured all eyes were on her on Tuesday night as she led the star-studded arrivals to the UK premiere of her latest film Black Bag at the Curzon Mayfair.

The acclaimed actress, 55, showcased her fashion forward sense of style as she arrived in a bold grey dress with a plunging neckline.

The herringbone fabric number boasted voluminous sleeves with eye-catching red panelling and black spikes down the sides.

And as Cate posed up a storm on the red carpet, she turned to reveal the dress was completely backless, giving the look extra sex appeal.

The Tár star styled the avant-garde look with knee-high leather boots and swept her blonde hair back to show off her spiked earrings.

The double Oscar-winner accentuated her ageless beauty with a radiant palette of makeup and a sultry smoky eyeshadow.

Cate was joined by her co-stars Marisa Abela and Naomie Harris, who also dressed to the nines for the evening.

Marisa, 28, nailed androgynous chic as she donned a masculine collared shirt and a matching tie covered in intricate black beading.

While the Back to Black star teamed it with a figure-hugging dark purple pencil skirt that clung to every inch of her slender frame.

The British actress, who plays Clarissa Dubose in the film, boosted her height with a pair of black patent high heels and pulled her hair up into a sleek ponytail.

Naomie, 48, expertly blended feminine and edgy styles as she pulled out all the stops in a strapless tulle and leather gown.

The Bond girl flaunted her tiny waist in the burgundy corsetted bodice, which flowed out in a floaty grey skirt.

The Pirates of the Caribbean actress - who plays the role of Dr. Zoe Vaughan - gave herself a few extra inches in a pair of pointed black heels.

Naomie wore her raven hair poke straight and showed off her radiant beauty with flawless face of makeup, complete with a dusting of pink blush.

She graciously stopped to greet the crowd of fans clamouring for her attention and handed out autographs.

Joining them on the red carpet was leading man Michael Fassbender, who cut a typically dashing figure in an all-black ensemble.

He sported a distressed black suede blazer over a button-up shirt and tailored trousers, while hiding his face under a pair of tinted shades.

The actor posed alongside Cate, who stars as his wife in the movie, wrapping his arm around her as they happily chatted.

While cast member Rege-Jean Page - who plays Col. James Stokes - was also in attendance at the premiere in another smart look.

The Bridgerton star looked as handsome as ever as he layered a long mustard green coat over a tailored dark grey suit.

He added a plain white T-shirt underneath and completed the stylish look with shiny dress shoes and a simple gold necklace.

Tom Burke, who stars in the film as Freddie Smalls, kept things classic and simple in a smart black suit and boots as he joined his co-stars.

While Jason Momoa and his actress girlfriend Adria Arjona put on a loved-up display as they attended the premiere together, posing hand-in-hand.

The couple complemented each other by both wearing coordinating suits, with Jason opting for a grey pinstriped version with a white shirt and Adria dazzling in black and forgoing a shirt to flash her bra underneath.

Track and field athlete Jazmin Sawyers and footballer Fran Kirby swapped the sports kit for glamourous looks, as they also attended the premiere.

Jaz out on a leggy display in a pink shift dress that was bizarrely adorned with three-dimensional tiny bags.

While Fran looked sophisticated in a pinstriped mint green suit, with a collared white shirt and matching heels.

Black Bag, which was directed by Steven Soderbergh, follows legendary intelligence agents George Woodhouse (Michael) and his wife Kathryn Woodhouse (Cate).

The synopsis for the thriller reads: 'When his beloved wife Kathryn is suspected of betraying the nation, intelligence agent George Woodhouse faces the ultimate test — loyalty to his marriage or his country.'

Black Bag is set to receive a theatrical release on Friday, March 14.

It comes the day after Cate insisted that the acting industry still has some way to go with the #MeToo movement and in addressing its persistent gender pay gap.

Speaking just days before the release of Black Bag, she made her feelings clear on inequalities within Hollywood and in society in general.

She told The Guardian: 'We're nowhere near equal pay! Talking about it noisily doesn't mean action has happened.

'I mean, there's a greater concentration of wealth than perhaps there ever has been in human history. And we can see where that's got us.'

In 2018, Cate joined dozens of women in claiming sexual misconduct at the hands of Harvey Weinstein, saying she 'got a bad feeling from him' as she 'wouldn't do what he was asking me to do'.

Asked about her remarks last month that the movement 'didn't really ever take root', the Australian star gave some thoughts on what the next steps should be.

'When you talk about equity and inclusion, that means the people who've had all the toys need to share,' she said. 'They've got used to that being normal. And so you have to be very vocal in order to rebalance it.

'The conversation had just begun and suddenly everything was being discredited and undermined, so we're still having to fight for those same basic conversations.'

Last month the two-time Oscar-winning actress insisted that despite years of widespread conversations sparked by the Me Too movement, there has not been enough progress.

'Everyone talks about the #MeToo movement as if it's well and truly over, and I think well, it didn't really ever take root, to be honest,' she told NET-A-PORTER'S digital title PORTER.

'People were seeking to dismantle and discredit those voices that were only just beginning to come out from under the floorboards into the light. I find it quite distressing the way that it hasn't taken root.'

In a 2018 interview with Variety, Cate was asked if she had every been sexually harassed by Weinstein and she said 'Yes'.

She and Weinstein had a long working history, going as far back as 2000's Oscar-nominated film, The Talented Mr Ripley.

But she said in the 2018 interview that working with him was never something she pushed for.

'I don't think Harvey will be making films with anybody. He was brought on as the producer on many films that I had absolutely no say on. I didn't have a creative or functional relationship with him,' she said.
