Classic detective drama series Maigret is being rebooted 65 years after it very first arrived on screens.
Maigret, based on the books by Georges Simenon, was first brought to screen in 1960 and followed French police detective Jules Maigret as he solved crimes in Paris.
The popular series has been adapted for screen multiple times, with Rupert Davies taking on the leading role in 1960.
Rowan Atkinson also starred as the titular detective when the show was revived by ITV for a two-season run in 2016, and it is now coming back to screens once again.
Benjamin Wainwright will this time take on the role of the 'unconventional' young detective in the modern PBS reboot as he emerges as 'a rising star in the Police Judiciaire'.
A first glimpse of Benjamin as the iconic detective has already been revealed, with the English actor looking serious while standing in front of the Eiffel Tower.

The story will follow Maigret as he delves into everything from 'criminal' underground haunts to the 'glitzy upper-class world of luxury hotels and mansions'.
Created by Patrick Harbinson, the synopsis added: 'Maigret strives above all to unravel our motivations.
'He is good at this not because he is a genius, or has special methods, but because he listens – he doesn't solve crimes so much as he solves people.'
Also making up the cast will be a string of TV talents including The Inbetweeners star Blake Harrison, Sex Education's Reda Elazouar and The Gold's Stefanie Martini.
Rob Kazinsky, Nathalie Armin, Kerrie Hayes and Shaniqua Okwok are also set to star alongside Benjamin in the new release.
Benjamin is best-known for his roles in 2018's The Conductor, Belgravia: The Next Chapter and TV series World on Fire.
The reboot will air in the United States on PBS Masterpiece but a UK air date or network has not yet been confirmed.
The news comes two years after previous leading star Rowan hinted that he would be willing to return as the eponymous Chief Inspector.

The series was dropped by ITV after just four episodes aired over two seasons, but Rowan told The Daily Mail's Alison Boshoff that it wasn't his decision to cancel it.
'It wasn't my decision to pull the plug,' Rowan said of the demise of the pipe-smoking detective back in 2022.
'That was down to ITV, who made some kind of judgment about what kind of shows they wanted to make and I guess how well — or not — our show was going down.
'It was their prerogative; and it's not for me to raise any defence against that decision. But never say never. I wouldn't rule out filming more.'
