Victoria Beckham has caused the internet to explode with memes amid claims she danced 'inappropriately' on son Brooklyn - while a 2024 tweet also saw the star profess that she's 'never met a dancefloor she doesn't like'.
On Monday, the eldest Beckham son, 26, launched an extraordinary online attack on his parents, accusing David, 50, and Victoria, 51, of 'controlling' him, trying to 'ruin' his marriage and his mother sabotaging the first dance at his 2022 wedding.
Jaws dropped to the floor when his statement included claims that Victoria had 'hijacked his first dance' and 'danced very inappropriately on me', leaving the nepo baby 'uncomfortable or humiliated'.
In the face of such controversy, the internet naturally exploded with memes, jokes and speculation over what Victoria's 'inappropriate' dancing would have entailed, leaving fans in stitches about the situation.
Meanwhile, in the wake of the statement, a throwback tweet from Victoria, with images showing her dancing with David with the caption: 'Never met a dance floor I didn’t like' resurfaced.
Victoria's dancing is not limited to her tweet, as her dance moves went viral when the 2023 Netflix documentary Beckham aired and saw David and Victoria dance playfully in their Cotswolds kitchen, to Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers's Islands in the Stream.
The dance spawned a TikTok trend called The Beckham Test, where users play the song and see if their partner joins them in the same way David joined Victoria.
While the throwback tweet stunned fans, many were delighted to resurrect clips from her early 2000s solo career - particularly her song Not Such An Innocent Girl.
A meme that will no doubt infuriate all parties saw an edited clip from Brooklyn's widely panned 2017 photography book, which featured a picture of an elephant which he stated are 'so hard to photograph'.
The doctored image featured Victoria's silhouette layered over the top while Not Such An Innocent Girl played.
One of the tongue in cheek videos showed a dancer aggressively pushing over a reveller in a bar with the added caption: 'Victoria hijacking the first dance at Brooklyn Beckham's wedding.'
Another clip saw the iconic moment Nicole Scherzinger duetted with Jahméne Douglas on The X Factor in 2012 for a rendition of The Greatest Love Of All.
During the performance she was seen swapping microphones with the contestant to allow for her own vocals to be heard, leading to the tweet: 'victoria beckham high jacking the first dance at brooklyn’s wedding'.
A Reddit user posted a video of Victoria performing a raunchy rendition of her 2001 track Out Of Your Mind alongside the caption: 'Exclusive footage of Victoria Beckham dancing at Brooklyn and Nicola's wedding.
She was also likened to Ricky Gervais's David Brent and his iconically cringey dance in the 2000 mockumentary, while another similarity was made between the star and Magic Mike - the racy film about male strippers.
The desperation of fans to view the video was clear in a number of tweets, with messages reading: 'Manifesting a leaked video of Victoria Beckham hijacking Brooklyn’s first dance...'
He penned: 'My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song.
'In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead.'
Back in 2024, Victoria shared a birthday tribute to Victoria, in which she branded her daughter-in-law 'the best dance partner', writing: 'Happy birthday @nicolaannepeltz… We love you so much!! Your love, kindness, talent and your ability to dance on sand in a major wedge! The best dance partner and loving daughter in law. We love you, have an amazing day!!!!! Xxxxxx'.
