Celebrity Traitors fans are convinced BBC bosses have given them a HUGE clue about what to expect from star-studded series

Celebrity Traitors fans have speculated that BBC bosses gave away a huge clue ahead of the series.

The first episode of the series saw comedian Alan Carr, singer Cat Burns and presenter Jonathan Ross named as the Traitors.

But eagle-eyed fans have suggested that producers shared a hint about who the Traitors would be before the series even started.

Taking to Reddit, one fan spotted that the promo shots for each contestant contained a picture of each celebrity on the fireplace.

But six of the celebs also had a skull in the picture, with three of those being Alan, Cat and Jonathan.

The fan suggested that this could mean the skulls are markers for Traitors and that the other three featuring them on the fireplace could be recruited Traitors later in the series.

If the fan's hunch is correct, then that would mean the series would see Stephen Fry, Nick Mohammed and Kate Garraway become Traitors.

The post read: 'Just saw a post from Jake, one of the winners of the UK season 3 mentioning a post from the BBC tiktok account.

'It has every celebrity and their photographs on top of what looks to be a fireplace.

'The interesting thing is that 6 out of the 19 have a skull underneath, 3 of which are the traitors selected in tonight's episode, is this a coincidence? Are the other 3 for recruited traitors down the line?'

During yesterday's first series, viewers were left unconvinced Alan has what it takes to be a Traitor after he appeared to laugh after being chosen.

Alan couldn't help but giggle when the TV host tapped him on the shoulder while all the celebrities were blindfolded around the table.

The comedian admitted he's worried about his chances of going undetected by his fellow celebrities.

Speaking to the camera, he said: 'I have a sweating problem and I can't keep a secret. What am I going to do? It's a weight burning on my shoulders, I'm so nervous.'

Alan even proclaimed he was 'worse than Linda!', referring to series three contestant Linda Rands who memorably looked right at Claudia when she addressed the traitors in front of the entire group, causing eventual winner Jake Brown to suspect her.

Viewers took to X to react to the selection of Traitors, with many predicting Alan won't manage to avoid detection because of his reaction to being chosen.

They wrote: 'Alan Carr is gonna be the worst Traitor ever, so obvious,'; 'Alan Carr as a Traitor is going to be absolute box office stuff,';

'Cat may surprise us but feel like she'll crumble. Alan has NO hope'... 'Alan Carr is somehow going to vote himself as a Traitor at the roundtable isn't he?';

'Alan Carr having to bite his lip to stop laughing immediately. He has no hope whatsoever.'

Charlotte Church was among the stars forced to dig their own grave on the first episode of The Celebrity Traitors.

The celebrities taking part were taken to a graveyard where they each had a tombstone with their name on it.

Host Claudia Winkleman told them the first six celebrities who found a shield buried in their graves would win immunity from the first murder.

While many of the contestants dug their graves with shovels, Charlotte - who was wearing a white dress - got right into her grave and dug it up with her bare hands.

The move paid off as she was one of the first six to find a shield and secure immunity from the first murder.

However, she ultimately gave this up toward the end of the episode when the celebrities were completing a task to add £15,000 to the prize fund.
