She had already made headlines with her furious meltdown on The Masked Singer.

But Macy Gray has reportedly caused a stir once again, by pulling out of the Celebrity Big Brother lineup.

Sources are claiming that the singer, 57, was in talks with ITV bosses to appear on the show in a bid to rebuild her image after her short-lived Masked Singer stint.

But according to The Sun, she opted against going on the show, with a source telling the publication: 'Macy's fury at being voted out as Toad In The Hole earlier this year was such a talking point and bosses thought she would also make a great housemate.

'She'd seemed keen to rewrite her narrative after The Masked Singer drama but in the end decided not to go ahead.'

MailOnline has contacted Celebrity Big Brother and Macy's representatives for comment.

Ahead of Celebrity Big Brother's return on April 7, names including Patsy Palmer, Jack P Shepherd, and Sir Michael Fabricant are among those rumoured to be heading into the famous house.

Back in January, Macy stunned viewers when she dramatically stormed off the stage after being eliminated from The Masked Singer.

Before Macy's identity was revealed, she walked off the stage when host Joel Dommett announced the sad news that she had to go home.

ITV viewers were shocked but moments later the star returned to the stage and was revealed to be American singer Macy, who did not look impressed about leaving the reality show.

A source went onto claim that Macy was completely 'blindsided' by being one of the first contestants to leave the UK show after reaching the final of the US version in 2023 which she was disguised as the Sea Queen.

Macy was reportedly 'shellshocked' and 'gutted' to be leaving the hit ITV show so early as she enjoyed participating in the American version.

Speaking to The Sun, the insider claimed: 'When Macy stormed off stage everyone was frozen in shock but as soon as she reached backstage, crew removed her mask so they could talk her down.

'It was the shock of it for her as well as the upset and in that moment she had a very raw, human reaction and wanted out. For a professional performer to reach that point shows how badly she felt.'

Macy had a similar meltdown in 2021 when she appeared on the Australian version of the show and sulked when she was voted off.

On Saturday it was also reported that Hollywood actress Goldie Hawn turned down an £1 million offer to take part in this year's CBB.

The Overboard star was said to be in advanced talks to sign up for the ITV1 reality show, according to The Sun

However, Goldie, who revealed at the 2025 Oscars that she was struggling with her vision due to cataracts, reportedly decided the timing wasn't right for her and declined the offer.

A source told the publication: 'Goldie would have been a massive coup for Celebrity Big Brother.

'She is a Hollywood legend so would have had plenty of tales to spill on the rich and famous.

'Bosses were hoping to replicate the success of Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh who were a hit on last year’s series thanks to their lack of filter and celebrity gossip.'

The source added that Goldie was 'flattered by the offer' however, she decided now wasn't the right time for her.
