Chris Eubank Jr insisted he held no regrets for smashing an egg into Conor Benn's face as the British pair traded verbal blows in their second press conference of the week in London.
Back in the same room as his rival after a chaotic launch press conference in Manchester on Tuesday, Eubank Jr was jokingly scanned for eggs by a beefed-up security presence as he took to the stage.
He was immediately asked whether he had gone too far with his egg-gate stunt, and showed no signs of remorse for his behaviour as he took aim at Benn and his promoter, Eddie Hearn.
'During this whole process over the last two-and-a-half years, I feel many lines have been crossed,' Eubank Jr said at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – the same venue he will finally face Benn on April 26.
'I'm sitting up here today on a stage with two of the scummiest characters in boxing, in my opinion. A drug cheat and a man who did everything in his power to help him get away with it. So, me throwing an egg at somebody that claims that is the reason why he failed two drugs tests, because of contaminated eggs, I think that's light. And I think that's deserved.
'He deserved the embarrassment of what happened. If I had the opportunity to do it again, I would.'

In contrast, Benn cut a subdued figure for the most part, but that changed when attention turned to his legendary father, Nigel.
In the aftermath of Tuesday's incident, Nigel was seen grabbing Eubank Jr by the throat, and the middleweight contender warned Benn Sr 'he would not get (his hand) back' if he tried something similar again.
Conor shot back: 'Shut your f***ing mouth, do you hear me? Threaten my dad again, watch what happens to you.'
Despite the tension in the room rising, a face-off was given the green light but this time the fighters were kept at a distance, with security on high alert to jump in.
A steely stare-down followed, but there were no eggs in sight this time.
Now, the two men will head into training camp, before returning to north London in two months for fight week.
Then they will switch eggs, threats and one-liners for boxing gloves and a ring, with family honour and bragging rights on the line.
