New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani's wife, Rama Duwaji, allegedly ditched the country days before America's 250th birthday.
The Big Apple's First Lady was seen leaving the country from Newark last week.
Conservative commentator Arynne Wexler blasted Duwaji writing, 'Funny how when @ZohranKMamdani was telling New Yorkers to lower their AC, his wife Rama Duwaji was boarding a flight to party in Mallorca.'
According to the New York Post, Duwaji spent her July 4 at an Islamic 'spiritual wellness' retreat on the Spanish island of Mallorca.
The Daily Mail reached out to the NYC Mayor's office to see if they would confirm Duwaji's participation in the retreat.
People were quick to attack the mayor's wife, including Oli London who said: 'Zohran Mamdani's wife skipped celebrating America's 250th birthday by going to an 'Islamic Spiritual Wellness Retreat.'

Illustrator and ceramist Duwaji, 29, is serving as artist in residence and co-host of a sold-out retreat organized by The Women's Sanctuary.
The six-day event, 'Plants of the Quran,' began on Wednesday and runs through Monday, with attendees paying $3,400 to take part.
According to the organization's website, the retreat explores plants mentioned in Islamic scripture through art, botanical workshops, and spiritual reflection.
Afterward, Duwaji will travel to Corsica, France, to help lead another sold-out retreat, 'Mary in the Quran,' from July 9-14, which examines the life and legacy of Mary, the most honored woman in the Quran.
Duwaji's husband, Mamdani, stayed in the US and gave remarks from America's first capital, New York City, to celebrate America's 250th birthday.
