Fans would be forgiven for thinking the iconic New York City venue was hosting a glitzy awards ceremony, with a red carpet being placed near the garden's VIP entrance - before it was pulled up shortly afterward

Evoking memories of the Met Gala, the stairs by the entrance were taped up, setting the stage for 36-year-old Swift's glittering arrival at her wedding to tight end Kelce, also 36

However, the carpet was later seen being taken down - sparking further mystery

Large trucks arrived at the iconic indoor arena as equipment was loaded into the venue in photos taken for the Daily Mail on Monday

There were also some visible hints that the trucks were related to Swift's upcoming nuptials, including a sign on equipment being unloaded that read, 'Return to Nashville'

One of the signs indicated the trailer was filled with the 'AUD BUILD DECK,' which appeared to refer to audio equipment for the celebration

Multiple forklifts were seen unloading the equipment, much of which was wrapped up in large tarps to obscure its purpose

In addition to signs for the scenery company, there also appeared to be equipment from a transportation company, a lighting service and a company that specializes in piping and draping, according to Page Six

Workers at the scene whom Page Six spoke to claimed to be in the dark about what the setup was for. 'We aren’t told anything. Everything is so tight-lipped,' one told the publication

A source told NBC News that 1,100 guests have RSVP'd and are expected to attend Swift's July 3 wedding.

It has been reported that wedding guests will not know the address until the morning of the event.

In early June, an insider exclusively told the Daily Mail that the couple decided to 'embrace the spectacle' of a giant wedding.

Business owners in the highly congested MSG area later voiced concerns over a potential loss of revenue and security accommodations.

According to TMZ , less than one month before the expected event, local bars and restaurants claimed they had yet to receive details regarding the major event that is sure to have an impact on their establishments.

Sources previously claimed to the Daily Mail that guests who received an invitation are being required to sign an NDA before receiving information about the wedding.

Family and close friends of the couple are also allegedly being asked to sign a nondisclosure agreement.

Those who RSVP are then sent a link to the NDA, which requires guests not to disclose information about the wedding.

And details regarding Swift's wedding dress were revealed earlier this week

A source claimed to the outlet that a number of custom dresses have been made for the singer to choose from.

Designers Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia of the New York-based brand Monse are included in the running. The duo were recently co-creative directors of Oscar de la Renta until their exit in February.

In April, a separate insider told the Daily Mail that Swift's wedding dress could be inspired by Elizabeth Taylor's gown during her 1950 wedding to Conrad Hilton.
