Sarah Michelle Gellar and her husband Freddie Prinze Jr. are getting ready to say goodbye to their stunning Los Angeles home after more than a decade.

The 49-year-old Buffy The Vampire Slayer star – who recently got a tongue lashing from Andy Cohen – and the 50-year-old She's All That actor have listed the home, which is located in LA's tony Brentwood neighborhood, for $10.5 million.

Cindy Ambuehl of Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California – who has known the celebrity couple for more than 25 years – is handling the listing.

Ambuehl spoke with the Daily Mail about what makes their family-friendly five-bedroom, six-bathroom home so appealing.

'It’s an incredibly private property located in the exclusive Mandeville Canyon area, surrounded by sycamores, oak trees, and beautiful tree-lined streets,' the realtor said. 'The home has an exceptional warmth to it, with oversized, gracious rooms that are perfect for both family living and entertaining.'

Those oversize rooms are spread out across 7,300 square feet in the three-story home.  

Ambuehl emphasized that even though Gellar and Prinze's home 'feels peaceful and tucked away,' the Brentwood location is a gateway to communities including Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades, and it's also conveniently located near several 'top schools, restaurants, shops and all the conveniences of the Westside.' 

The couple, who have already moved into a home in Encino after acquiring it off-market early last year for $12.4 million – per Robb Report – moved into their Brentwood home in 2013.

Prior to listing it, Gellar and Prinze had rented out the property for $60,000 per month, but their realtor clarified that their home was 'never intended as a long-term rental.'

Instead, the couple was helping out a family who had lost their home in the devastating LA fires of January 2025.

Ambuehl said Gellar and Prinze had 'special memories' of their Brentwood home, as it's where they raised their daughter Charlotte, 16, and son Rocky, 13.

The realtor went on to praise the stars as an 'exceptional couple and truly remarkable parents.' 

'Their children are incredibly respectful, thoughtful, and grounded — a reflection of the values Sarah and Freddie instilled in them. They’re down-to-earth, kind, and always put family first, which is very refreshing,' she said.

Prior to their last move, the couple had been living in Bel Air. 

Ambuehl confirmed that she had helped Gellar and Prinze with their 2025 home purchase, and she clarified that they aren't planning to join a recent horde of celebrities who have been abandoning California for cheaper states. 

She sounded optimistic about the Brentwood home, describing it as a 'highly sought-after style and floor plan in prime Brentwood.'

'We believe it’s very well priced for the market,' Ambuehl added.

As for the home's biggest draw, she singled out its 'use of space and overall floor plan.

'The layout is exceptionally functional and welcoming, with a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor living that really captures the California lifestyle,' Ambuehl said.

She also raved about the house's attic space, which Gellar and Prinze had converted into a family hangout spot and rec room with tastefully vaulted ceilings.

'It became a wonderful game room and gathering space for the family,' the realtor said.

According to Robb Report, Gellar and Prinze's home was designed and built in 2006 by Greg and Grace Shain of Shain Development.

The home is bathed in white and features tasteful oak floors and French doors that bathe the rooms in natural light.

Gellar and Prinze's home conveniently has a picturesque front staircase in the entranceway, as well as a second staircase going up from the kitchen.

The kitchen is decked out with top-of-the-line appliances, and it features a sizable island that's perfect for more casual meals. 

Off of the kitchen is the spacious living room, which is ideal for entertaining or watching a movie with the family.

In the back of the room is a cozy fireplace, and the living room includes French doors that exit out to the pool area. 

The master bedroom, located on the second floor, includes a luxurious fireside area for relaxing, as well as a private balcony. 

It also has an enormous en suite bathroom with double sinks, and there's a stylish walk-in closet and dressing area.
