Dame Helen Mirren put on a loved-up display with her husband Taylor Hackford on the red carpet of the Golden Eve event in Beverly Hills on Tuesday.

The Oscar-winning actress, 80, and the film director, 81, who have been married for 27 years, posed together as Helen sweetly leaned her head on his shoulder.

The Queen star looked elegant in a baby pink gown draped into a knot at the waist which cascaded down the skirt and onto the floor.

She completed the look with a large statement pink and cream pearl necklace and a handbag in the same hue.

Meanwhile, Taylor dressed very dapper in a black tuxedo complete with a matching waist coat as he looked besotted with his wife.

The three-time Golden Globe winner was being honoured at the ceremony and was named the 2026 Cecil B. DeMille Award honoree, celebrating her 'extraordinary and enduring contributions to the world of entertainment.'

'Helen Mirren is a force of nature and her career is nothing short of extraordinary,' said Helen Hoehne, President of Golden Globes.

'Her transcendent performances and commitment to her craft continue to inspire generations of artists and audiences alike. It is a profound honor to present her with the Cecil B. DeMille Award.'

Sarah Jessica Parker was also honoured with the The Carol Burnett Award, which has been given annually since 2019 for 'outstanding contributions to television on or off the screen.'

Helen married Taylor, who formerly presided over the Directors Guild Of America, in Scotland in 1997 after over a decade of dating.

The two met in 1985 when Taylor directed Helen in musical drama White Nights, but the two did not get on at first, with the actress being uncharacteristically cold with him.

It was the same year the star's highly publicised five-year relationship with Liam Neeson unfortunately broke down.

Helen previously gushed over the quality time she and her husband spent together 'for the first time in 30 odd years' during the peak of the Covid pandemic.

During a 2022 appearance on The Graham Norton show, she opened up about the affect of the lockdown on her relationship.

Helen said: 'For the first time in 30 odd years of marriage we sat at the table opposite each other and had dinner together every night for six months – it was fantastic, brilliant.'

Helen has no children with Taylor, or indeed at all, a decision she does not regret.

She broke down in tears over the film Parenthood, admitting she 'sobbed' for 20 minutes after being moved by the message that being a mother is a job for life and never stops, even as a grandparent.

'I realised I would never experience that,' she told The Sunday Times in 2016. 'I sobbed for the loss of that and the fact that I never experienced it. Then I got over it and I was happy again.'
