Amy Schumer had praised her husband Chris Fischer only hours before announcing their shock split following seven years of marriage.

The 44-year-old comedian - who has since been supported by her A-list pals - confirmed via an Instagram post on Friday that both she and Fischer made the 'difficult decision' to separate, but emphasized the split was 'amicable.'

But the Trainwreck actress had uploaded a throwback clip mere hours earlier from her 2021 endometriosis surgery.

'Just found this from years ago pretty. My truest self. Chris dug it,' Schumer wrote in the caption.

'I've been through a lot with endometriosis. Tell someone you love they shouldn't have heavy excruciating periods. @endofund donate along with me today.'

Schumer could be seen waking up from anesthesia while laying in a hospital bed after the procedure.

The comedian confirmed via an Instagram post on Friday that both she and Fischer made the 'difficult decision' to separate, but emphasized the split was 'amicable'; the pair seen in February in NYC

'We sit at the bar, we get a couple drinks. We just have a blast,' she said with her eyes closed.

Fischer seemingly was behind the camera filming the star - and could be heard chuckling at her comments.

Shortly after sharing the throwback video, Schumer uploaded a separate post as she announced her divorce from her husband.

The comedian uploaded a photo as she sat next to Fischer on the NYC subway and in the caption typed, 'Blah blah blah Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years.

'We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son. We would appreciate people respecting our privacy at this time.'

Schumer then added, 'blah blah blah not because I dropped some lbs and thought I could bag s basket and not because he's a hot [James] beard award winning chef who can still pull some hot tail. Amicable and all love and respect! Family forever.'

The actress said 'I do' to Fischer back in February 2018 during a romantic ceremony in Malibu - while surrounded by 80 guests, including Jennifer Lawrence. They had also signed a prenup before tying the knot.

The following year, the pair welcomed their son Gene in 2019 - who turned six earlier this year in May.

And the real reason Schumer has ended the marriage was later revealed, as a friend of the actress told the Daily Mail that the star has plans to reignite her career.

'When Trainwreck came out in 2015 she was on fire with her career, and she was offered lots of roles that she ended up saying no to.'

The source added, 'Then she got pregnant and did things here and there, but didn't go full throttle as she would have liked.

'Now, 10 years on from the Trainwreck high and success that started giving her the career she expected for herself, she's looking to get that back and see if lightning strikes twice for a major movie career.'

The insider continued, 'With those career goals and her being a mother, she didn't focus much on her marriage to make that succeed. But that is the life she was chasing, and the life she has chosen to take into the new year.

Schumer has 'realized you can't have everything and the thing that suffered most was her marriage. Now she is trying to figure it all out one day at a time.'

Last month in November, a source told the Daily Mail that Schumer was '100 percent' ending her marriage to Fischer.

'Amy is 100 percent getting divorced. She got skinny, she is over it,' a close friend of the star said.

'Chris is mostly out of the house at this point. They've listed two homes now, in Brooklyn and New Orleans.'

The friend added, 'She deleted Chris from Instagram then deleted everything else. She's going to file soon, but it's over. Done.'

Schumer was last pictured on the red carpet with Fischer earlier this year in June at the premiere of Room To Move.

She also recently showed off her dramatic weight loss - after appearing to have lost around 40lbs after the use of the GLP-1 drug Mounjaro.

'Amy doesn't talk about Chris that much anymore, it's like they are no longer close. He is never around, and she has not taken him on a red carpet for months,' the insider continued.

'It's not easy because of his autism, he doesn't even get her jokes, and being funny and making people laugh is important to her. Also, there is that classic cliché: when a woman loses weight, her personality changes.'

The friend added, 'She deleted Chris from Instagram then deleted everything else. She's going to file soon, but it's over. Done'

They added, 'Amy has changed since losing weight, she is much lighter in her spirit, more easy going. I think she wants more out of life.'

Schumer has previously been open about Fischer's autism diagnosis. He learned he was on the spectrum shortly after they married.

'I knew from the beginning that my husband's brain was a little different than mine,' the actress previous said during her 2019 Netflix special Growing.

'My husband was diagnosed with what used to be called Asperger's. He has autism spectrum disorder. He's on the spectrum.'

She then added, 'And once he was diagnosed, it dawned on me how funny it was, because all of the characteristics that make it clear that he's on the spectrum are all of the reasons that I fell madly in love with him.'

Another source had exclusively told the Daily Mail that Schumer and Fisher had also dealt with 'growing pains in marriage'; seen in February in NYC

Speculation in regards to their marriage also arose when the comedian deleted pictures from Instagram last month - and she continued her trend of not wearing her wedding ring in snaps.

Another source had exclusively told the Daily Mail that Schumer and Fisher had also dealt with 'growing pains in marriage.'

The pair listed some of their homes on the market before announcing their separation - including their New Orleans property that they purchased back in 2021.

However, the Trainwreck actress took the home off the market with an insider saying that the residence is 'too special' to Schumer and holds 'too many memories there.'
