The British and Irish stars of Hollywood have had huge sway in the industry this year judging by the names being announced for the 2026 Golden Globe nominations.
The names shortlisted for the awards were revealed on Monday, ahead of the January 11 ceremony and many actors from across the UK are being considered.
Adolescence's Owen Cooper, Stephen Graham, Ashley Walters and Erin Doherty all received nominations for their roles in the Netflix hit, which already received awards success at the Emmys earlier this year.
The first category to be announced was for for Best Male Actor in a Television Drama, with Gary Oldman securing an early nomination and leading the way for the Brits.
The first major ceremony in the awards season calendar honours the best of film, TV and, for the first time this year, podcasts, across 28 categories.
In the next acting category, Best Supporting Male Actor in a Motion Picture, Irish star Paul Mescal was commended for his part in Hamnet.

Stephen Graham for his leading role in Adolescence, Charlie Hunnam for Monster: The ED Gein Story, Jude Law in Black Rabbit and Matthew Rhys for The Beast in Me.
In the Best Supporting Male Actor for TV section, Owen Cooper and Ashley Walters for Adolescence and Jason Isaacs for The White Lotus.
Fellow Adolescence star Erin Doherty earned a nomination in the Best Supporting Female Actor in TV section. Erin is up against fellow Brit Aimee Lou Wood for her part as Chelsea in The White Lotus.
Best Female Actor in the TV drama category nods were received by Helen Mirren for Mobland and Bella Ramsey for The Last Of Us.
Elsewhere in the Best Support Female Actor in a Motion Picture category, Emily Blunt was nominated for her role in The Smashing Machine.
Meanwhile, Cynthia Erivo picked up a nomination in the Best Female Actor in a Motion Picture Musical Comedy section for her role as Elphaba in Wicked: For Good.
Irish actress Jessie Buckley has received a nod in the Best Female Actor in a Motion Picture Drama category.
The Stand Up Comedy award, saw Brett Goldstein and Ricky Gervais chosen for their shows The Second Best Night Of Your Life and Mortality respectively.
Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood will contend in the Best Original Score in a Motion Picture category for One Battle After Another, alongside fellow Brit composer Max Richter for Hamnet.
The nominations for the 83rd annual ceremony were read by actors Marlon Wayans and Skye P. Marshall.
This year, all 28 award categories have six nominees, with the exception of Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, which features eight.
Netflix hit Adolescence lead the nods for Best Limited Series, Anthology Series or Television Motion Picture, alongside All Her Fault, The Beast in Me, Black Mirror, Dying for Sex and The Girlfriend.
Dame Helen will be presented with the prestigious gong, whose previous recipients include Meryl Streep, Alfred Hitchcock and last year's winner Viola Davis, in a ceremony on January 8, three days before the main Golden Globes take place.

At the January 2025 ceremony Shogun won best drama series and Baby Reindeer was named best limited series.
