Meghan Markle shared a telling exchange with husband Prince Harry after their 'awkward' red carpet appearance in NYC one day earlier.

The couple were crowned 'Humanitarians of the Year' during Project Healthy Minds' World Mental Health Day Gala which took place on Thursday.

But at one point, the Duke of Sussex appeared to hurry his wife along as they paused for a brief photo session on the red carpet and Meghan was also left alone as Harry held a conversation a distance away.

On Friday, the 44-year-old Suits alum jumped to her Instagram stories to post a short reel as she shared a sweet moment with Harry backstage at the gala.

Meghan could be seen laughing at something Harry told her as he looked over papers next to a lamp - seemingly proving there was no awkwardness between them.

'Happy World Mental Health Day,' she wrote in text added over the video before gushing, '...to the man who always keeps me laughing.'

The couple were seen taking to the stage on Thursday to accept the award and Meghan expressed, 'Our children, Archie and Lili, are just six and four years old. Luckily still too young for social media, but we know that day is coming.

'Like so many parents, we think constantly about how to embrace technology's benefits, while safeguarding against its dangers.'

The star added while further reflecting on the impact of social media on young children, 'That hopeful intention of separation is rapidly becoming impossible.'

Harry also voiced a similar statement and said, 'This is a pivotal moment in our collective mission to protect children and support families in a digital age.'

The Duke of Sussex was honored as 'a humanitarian, mental health advocate, environmentalist, and military combat veteran' by Project Healthy Minds.

Meghan was additionally noted as a 'mother, wife, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.'

Both Harry and Meghan are known for launching the non-profit Archewell Foundation back in 2020.

The organization notably 'partners with key organizations and leaders to identify immediate needs, build meaningful initiatives, and drive long-term change,' per the official website

On Friday, Meghan and Harry were seen attending the World Mental Health Day Festival in NYC.

Their Archewell Foundation hosted three different panels and the couple took time to speak to the crowd also in attendance.

Harry helped kick off their first panel discussion which was titled Thriving or Surviving: How Are Young People Doing in the Digital Age?

'Today is more than just about conversation - it's about community,' he stated, per People. 'Young people learning to navigate a digital world that wasn't designed with their wellbeing. This is what we've discovered.'

He added, 'Maintaining good mental health isn't just an individual challenge, it is a community responsibility. Approach this way, everybody wins. That's what today is about.'

The mom-of-two was also seen talking on the stage while donning a pair of high-waisted trousers and a striped blouse.

Her dark locks were pulled back into a sleek up do, preventing any loose strands from falling onto her face.

Meghan introduced the second panel called How the Great Rewiring of Childhood Caused an International Mental Health Criss, And How We Can Reverse It.

One of the questions that were discussed was 'what do we do to allow our children to just be children.'

Meghan also talked about how families have been 'absolutely shattered' due to online harms.

'Parents who had lost children to social media driven suicide. Others who had lost so many of their children to struggles with depression, anxiety, self-harm all inflicted by online harms,' the star expressed.
