Nicole Kidman made no secret of her feelings about her marriage to country music star Keith Urban and her belief that in him, she had found the love of her life.
The Oscar-winning actress, 58, gushed over her husband of 19 years in June as they celebrated another wedding anniversary.
And just four days ago, she beamed and flashed the stunning engagement ring Urban, 57, had proposed to her with while headlining a Hollywood event for a luxury skincare and beauty company.
The stunning star, who shares two daughters with the hitmaker, finally seemed to have it all.
Then on Monday, news broke that the couple had separated.
The shock split appeared to come out of nowhere with insiders suggesting that Kidman had been 'blindsided' by Urban's decision to take a break.
However, for anyone paying close attention, the fact that Urban did not respond in kind to his wife's happy anniversary message on Instagram on June 25 should probably have been a red flag.

'Happy Anniversary baby @keithurban,' she wrote in her last public message to him alongside a black and white photo of them cuddling.
But Urban offered no tribute of his own, simply commenting on her post with a perfunctory love-heart emoji.
The power couple's last red carpet outing was at the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards in Texas on May 8 where the musician was honored with the ACM Triple Crown Award.
It was also the occasion of his last social media message including Nicole.
Alongside a clip of himself and his wife celebrating while in the back of a limousine, Urban wrote: 'TRIPLE CROWN !!! it was a surreal feeling and truly humbling honor to be recognized at the @acmawards last night.... I LOVED every second of it !!!'
At the beginning of his acceptance speech, Urban gave Kidman a sweet shout out while using her middle name: 'My wife, Nicole Mary, is here tonight. I love you, Babygirl!'

Kidman also weighed in: 'So much fun with my Triple Crown winner! Thank you @acmawards!'
In January, Nicole revealed the 'key to a successful marriage' in her W Magazine cover story: 'We have a double shower. The double-headed shower: key to a successful marriage. Separate commodes and a double-headed shower!'
TMZ reported on Monday that Nicole and her second husband Keith have been living apart 'since the summer'.
The publication reported the Oscar winner had been attempting to save her marriage with the country singer, whom she was last pictured with at a FIFA Club World Cup match on June 20 not far from their $3.47M seven-bedroom marital home in Nashville, TN.
'Keith has acquired his own residence in Nashville and has moved out of their family home,' a source shared on Monday.
The actress and the musician have been kept apart of late amid their hectic filming and touring schedules.

Kidman was previously married to Tom Cruise, whose decision to end their marriage also 'came as a shock' to her, she said in court documents, according to ABC News.
There was absolutely no sign of Keith in Nicole's 'summer memories' Instagram slideshow posted August 19, in which she embraced their 17-year-old daughter Sunday and 14-year-old daughter Faith as well as her younger sister Antonia Kidman.
Last December, Kidman told People of the four-time Grammy winner: 'I like being asked out, which he still does...I like not knowing where he's going to take me. Surprise me, baby!'
However, when E! News claimed the pair were a 'perfect couple' - the Nine Perfect Strangers producer-star ominously scoffed: 'I don't see any of that.'
Keith famously completed a three-month rehab stint at the Betty Ford Center for cocaine and alcohol addiction shortly after marrying Nicole in 2006.

'[It nearly] blew our marriage to smithereens,' Urban recalled last year while presenting Kidman with the 49th AFI Life Achievement Award.
'Four months into a marriage, I'm into rehab for three months, with no idea what was going to happen to us. And if you want to see what love in action really looks like, give that a whirl. Nic pushed through every negative voice — I'm sure even some of her own — and she chose love, and here we are tonight, 18 years later.'
The Straight Line rocker and the Holland producer-star will soon have to divide their substantial shared assets including a reported $282M real estate portfolio with homes in Australia, California, and New York.
Since May, Keith has been on the road performing the 28-date North American leg of his High and Alive Tour, which heads to the Giant Center in Hershey, PA this Thursday.
Urban will also executive produce and judge 12 potential opening acts in the new reality TV competition The Road, which premieres October 19 on CBS and Paramount+.
On September 13, Nicole wrapped her role as witch Gillian Owens opposite Sandra Bullock on the England set of Warner Bros. Pictures' Practical Magic 2 following a two-month shoot.
