Fans of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were left stunned on Monday when news broke of the couple's split after a 19-year marriage and two children.
The Aussie stars tied the knot in 2006 during a traditional Catholic ceremony at the Cardinal Cerretti Chapel in Sydney, and the nuptials appeared to cement a forever union.
There wasn't a dry eye to be found in the chapel on their fairytale day, as both the country music star, 57, and the Hollywood actress, 58, were said to be in tears when they saw each other at the altar.
Kidman looked angelic on her big day, slipping into an asymmetric ivory gown by her favourite fashion house, Balenciaga.
Her blonde locks were twisted into tumbling curls as she teamed her empire-line dress with pearl earrings and a bouquet of cream roses.
Meanwhile, Urban looked every inch the dapper husband-to-be in black tuxedo, ivory waistcoat and black tie.

There were hundreds of fans and media professionals crowded outside the chapel to catch a glimpse of the ceremony as Kidman arrived in a cream Bentley.
She was sitting next to her psychologist dad, Antony, who later died aged 75 in 2014, as she waved through the window at her fans and thanked them for attending.
Inside, Kidman and Urban tied the knot in front of 250 of their nearest and dearest, which included Hugh Jackman, Naomi Watts and Russell Crowe.
The movie star's sister Antonia acted as maid of honour, dressed in ivory and pink.
Isabella and Connor Cruise, the adopted children Kidman shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise, were also in attendance.
Her daughter, Isabelle, acted as a bridesmaid, while Connor was an usher.
Following the ceremony, Kidman and Urban held their reception in a Romeo and Juliet-themed marquee erected on the grounds of St. Patrick's Estate in Manly.
Jackman provided some light entertainment as he gave a rendition of Boy from Oz, before Urban also stood up to serenade his blushing bride.

Urban sang one of his hits, which included the line: 'I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you, and I'll earn your trust making memories of us.'
That trust was certainly tested six months later when Urban entered into rehab at the Betty Ford Clinic in the US after he relapsed into alcohol addiction.
Nevertheless, Kidman stuck by Urban through the trying time, and was even spotted hugging him at the rehab clinic in Palm Springs, California.
Shortly after Kidman and Urban shared their vows, but before his stint in rehab, the pair honeymooned in French Polynesia, staying at the St. Regis Bora Bora.
Daily Mail broke the news of Kidman and Urban's split on Monday.
The Oscar winner and musician have spent more time apart amid their hectic filming and touring schedules, with an insider saying Kidman was left 'blindsided' by the split.
'Keith never sees Nicole, either she is filming or he is on tour,' the source said.
'There was a lot of love between the two and they might not divorce, but there is a world that they both live [in] where neither of them are in it.

'Keith and Nicole have been together for decades and there is a world which they can reconcile, but the way their pairing is now, it is not a couple.'
Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Kidman and Urban for further comment and has yet to hear back.
The former couple share daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
Kidman was previously married to Tom Cruise, 63, from 1990 to 2001 and the exes adopted two children during their union, Isabella, 32, and Connor, 30.
Cruise would go on to marry Katie Holmes in 2006 and welcome daughter Suri, 19, before splitting in 2012.
The former couple were last pictured together on the red carpet in May 2025 at the Academy of Country Music Awards and looked loved-up.
A month later, they were seen at a soccer match in Nashville.
Another source close to the Australian actress says that, since the split, she has been taking care of the children and holding the family together through this difficult time while Urban has been away.

The country star has been on his High and Alive World Tour since May. He is due to perform in Hershey, Pennsylvania on Thursday.
Kidman and the children, meanwhile, are staying in Nashville, where the couple own a $4million compound. TMZ reported Monday that Urban has 'acquired his own residence in Nashville and has moved out of their family home.'
Earlier this month, it emerged that Kidman was spending a small fortune each month to live in a stately London home away from Keith.
The actress had been staying in England to film the Practical Magic sequel, and was residing at a luxurious Hampstead mansion once owned by pop star Boy George.
The stately manor reportedly costs the Moulin Rouge actress $87,288 per month in rent, with Urban notably absent from the property.
While the London move was for work, it certainly raised eyebrows back in Kidman's native Australia.
'[Kidman and Urban] do make an effort to speak every day when they're apart, but it is shocking how much time they've spent apart since Nicole's mother died last September,' an insider told local magazine Woman's Day earlier this month. 'It's like they both went their separate ways.'
Back in July, Urban dropped a hint that all was not well between the pair when he dramatically hung up during a phone interview with a radio station after a crude question about Kidman's raunchy recent scenes, such as in her movies Babygirl and A Family Affair.

For her part, and while promoting her Netflix series The Perfect Couple in September last year, Kidman admitted there was no such thing as a 'perfect' marriage.
'There's no perfect anything,' she said, 'anything that's presented as perfect… forget it.'
In September 2024, Kidman admitted there was no such thing as a 'perfect' marriage when asked about her Netflix drama, The Perfect Couple, by E! News.
'There's no perfect anything,' she said. 'Anything that's presented as perfect… forget it.'
Kidman was then asked what she thought of her marriage with Urban being presented as 'perfect' in the press.
'I don't see any of that. No, I don't see that,' she insisted.
The split news comes just weeks after Kidman marked nearly two decades of marriage with Urban by sharing a heartfelt tribute to the country star on their 19th wedding anniversary.
To mark the special occasion, the Big Little Lies star posted a sweet black and white photo of them sharing a sweet moment backstage at one of his shows.
In the image, the Oscar winner can be seen with one arm draped lovingly over her husband's shoulders as he held her hand.
The happy couple both closed their eyes as Kidman rested her forehead against Urban's head.
'Happy Anniversary Baby @KeithUrban,' she captioned the post, which received more than 25,023 likes in less than an hour.
Within minutes, the Somebody Like You hitmaker commented a single red heart emoji.
