Laura Woods has opened up about suffering a heartbreaking miscarriage and revealed how her baby Leo brought her comfort.

The sports presenter, 37, welcomed her first child with her Love Island star fiancé Collard, 29, in January.

Laura was 11 weeks pregnant when she miscarried and fell pregnant again a month later, with the couple delightedly welcoming a son called Leo

Adam recently broke down in tears in an episode of Celebrity SAS as he recalled the miscarriage, and now Laura has spoken about the 'awful times' the couple lived through.

Sharing a clip of Adam on the show on Instagram on Wednesday, Laura wrote: 'We really had some very awful times last year, but this big, beautiful man has got me through every one of them. And I've been so very proud watching him on this x.'

In another post, she went on to open up about how amid the 'confusing' feelings of grief for the baby she lost, her baby Leo has helped her find comfort.

In another post, she went on to open up about how amid the 'confusing' feelings of grief for the baby she lost, her baby Leo has helped her find comfort

She said: 'Sometimes I look at Leo and I think of the baby we'll never meet, while also knowing we wouldn't have Leo without it happening.

'It's a very confusing feeling. When it happened a wonderful nurse in the hospital said to me - this little one wasn't meant for this world, so this process is its way of keeping you safe.

'And that really did fill me with a lot of comfort. So I thought I'd share that in case there's anyone reading that has been affected by miscarriage too. Lots of love.'

Adam recently broke down into tears as he spoke about Laura's miscarriage on Celeb SAS.

Adam and Laura began dating in 2023 after he DM'd her over a funny meme shared on her Instagram Story, and not long after the pair sadly suffered from a tragic miscarriage when Laura was 11 weeks pregnant.

Speaking about the difficult time on the Channel 4 reality show, Adam was left in floods of tears as bravely opened up about a difficult few months in his life.

An emotional Adam told Special Forces he was diagnosed with depression following the sad loss.

Recalling the moment, he said: 'One of them was with my partner...and...we, erm lost something...when it was really close to getting there a second time and telling everyone.'

As Adam struggled to get his words out, the Special Forces team clarify he is talking about the miscarriage.

He continued: 'I think I was proud of the fact that I was excited for it, which I didn't think I ever would be.

'And when it got taken away, and it was 10 times worse for her, I think it hit us like a tonne of bricks.

'We just really, really went to a bit of a bad place. And to be honest, in front of her I pretended I was cool, and pretended I was absolutely fine.'

Adam later shed tears again as the recruits were asked to write 'death letters' to their loved ones.

Reading out his heartfelt speech to Laura, he stated: 'The last few months have been really tough, but nowhere near as tough as you.

'We lost a baby recently.'

He then started to sob, as his upset co-stars tried to comfort him.

Adam added: 'I wish I had one more night to give you the world's biggest cuddle. Love you always, Adam.'

In a piece to camera, Adam praised Laura, saying: 'I'd say I'm pretty closed off as a person and she definitely helped me to open up.'

After the show aired, Adam took to his Instagram page to thank viewers for their kind messages of support about his candid admission on the TV show.

Adam referenced a post from last year where he discussed his struggles, but did not specify what was going on at the time.

The post read: '2024, the hardest year of my life. I've seen a lot of amazing 2024 posts over the last few days... but if you're struggling right now, remember that Instagram is a highlights reel, and if you're struggling you aren't alone.'
